Last Friday, we hosted out annual Year 13 Leavers Assembly. We can’t call it a final goodbye just yet, as there are still exams to be sat, proms to be enjoyed, and results envelopes to be opened!
However, it was a chance for staff and learners to reflect on what has been a seven year for some. From their first day in Year 7, to the face-masked COVID years, to GCSE exams, we are so proud of everything Year 13 have achieved.
The assembly was an opportunity to look back (perhaps with some embarassment!) over those times, as well as a celebration; teaching staff awarded their pupils of the year, as did Progress and Wellbeing Leader Mrs Davies, and Head Teacher Mr Jones.
The Head Team took to the stage to thank staff, and to deliver their own ‘awards’…we’ll let you guess what they were for!
We wish all of our Year 13 learners the very best of luck in their exams, and have no doubt that wherever your futures take you, you will be a credit to yourselves and Pencoed. See you at Prom!
